長崎県 島原市 （Shimabara in Nagasaki Japan）
街中に綺麗な湧水が流れる水の都「島原」。武家屋敷水路、浜の川湧水、湧水庭園などの見どころがたくさんあり、街を散策しながら湧水めぐりを楽しむ事ができます。また自然の恵みである湧水で作る名物の「かんざらし」はスッキリとした甘味としっとりもちっととした食感が絶品です。
島原市役所の南に位置する「鯉の泳ぐまち」では大型の錦鯉が悠々と泳ぐ姿をいたる所で見る事ができます。小型の鯉が少ないので地元の方に伺ったところ、小型の鯉は鳥が食べてしまう事が多々あるとの事でした。
今回は島原の一部しか訪れる事ができませんでしたが、東には有明海、西には雲仙岳、また南の口之津ではイルカウォッチングが楽しめるなど様々なアクティビティがありますのでぜひ長崎に来た時には島原にも足を延ばす事を強くお勧めします。
Shimabara is a city of water with beautiful springs flowing through the city. There are many tourist spot such as the samurai residence waterway, the beach river spring water, and the spring water garden, so you can enjoy the spring water tour while strolling around the city. In addition, the famous “Kanzarashi” made from spring water, which is a blessing of nature, has a refreshing sweetness and a moist and chewy texture.
At “Koi no oyogu machi” located in the south of Shimabara City Hall, you can see large Nishiki-carp swimming leisurely everywhere. Since there are few small carps, when I asked the locals, it was said that birds often eat small carps.
I could only visit a part of Shimabara this time, but there are various activities such as Ariake Sea in the east, Mt. Unzen in the west, and dolphin watching in Kuchinotsu in the south, so when you come to Nagasaki, highly recommended to visit Shimabara.
