Koshu, Yamanashi (山梨県甲州市) Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou (笛吹川温泉 坐忘) – Communal Onsen bath (大浴場温泉露天風呂)

A tour of the (men’s) communal Daiyokujo Onsen (hot springs) bath (大浴場温泉露天風呂) at at Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou (笛吹川温泉 坐忘), a 23-room luxury ryokan located in Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture (山梨県甲州市.) The outdoor rotenburo (outdoor bath) was massive and enchanting, especially at night. While the indoor baths were proper Onsen temperature (meaning they were piping hot), the outdoor one was lukewarm enough that you could spend a good amount of time enjoying the experience without your skin shriveling up like a prune.
